Bristol-based electronic producer Stumbleine has already built a loyal following with several self-released EPs and a recent compilation album, in addition to collaborative outings with fellow producer ASA. He also reports for active duty as one third of dubstep envelope pushers Swarms, whose music has found favour among tastemaker DJs such as Mary Anne Hobbs.
‘The Beat My Heart Skips / Kaleidoscope’ is the first single taken from Stumbleine’s enrapturing, genre transcending debut album, ‘Spiderwebbed’.
Two A-side album tracks provide a taste of the multifaceted nature of ‘Spiderwebbed’: In ‘The Beat My Heart Skips’, guest vocalist CoMa’s gorgeous half-whispered reveries are swaddled in a cocoon of dreamgaze guitars and syncopated beats, whilst ‘Kaleidoscope’ weaves a restless dream of post-club dawns breaking through urban landscapes. Exclusive to this release is ‘Wishing Well’, in which Stumbleine casts us adrift for a blissed out, 2 Step scull upon chilled-out ambient waters.
